The National Museum of Photography Film & Television, Bradford, are playing host to the 5th Fantastic Films Weekend from 16-18 June 2006.
Over the course of the weekend fans will be treated to a range of cult horror and fantasy films on rare screenings from 35mm film.
Hammer fans will be delighted to learn that The Hound of the Baskervilles is being screened from a new 35mm print. Confirmed special guests include Julian Richards (and a screening of his new director's cut of Darklands), Robin Hardy, director of the original The Wicker Man (to include screening of the cult classic and signing of new book Cowboys for Christ, which is scheduled to be turned into a Christopher Lee-starring film), Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen) and Robert Feust director of the Dr Phibes films.
Other screenings include: And Soon the Darkness (scripted by Brian Clemens), The Final Programme, The Fantasist, White Angel, Nosferatu (with live score), The House That Dripped Blood, Horror Express (with Cushing and Lee), a new print of Theatre of Blood, and tv screenings will include the BBC version of Nineteen Eighty-Four starring Peter Cushing and Andre Morelle.
