Dracula cape found...

Dracula cape found...

The BBC news reported this weekend that two of the original onscreen costumes from Hammer's classic Dracula (1958) have been rediscovered in a costume rental shop.

During the annual stock check at the famous Angels costume store, the original cloak worn by Christopher Lee in the film was found. The cloak is understood to have been missing for over 30 years and is thought to be worth £24,000 according to reports.

In addition, the long overcoat worn by Peter Cushing as Van Helsing in the film has also been found and is currently being valued.

Dracula is to be re-released by the BFI in cinemas across the UK from next week. (see below...)

GGresham Blake's Hammer-inspired Dracua cape available exclusively from HammerShop (vampire brides not included...)

With Halloween just around the corner and costume rentals and purchases at their peak the find is a timely one for Angels.  Fans of the classic Hammer films might like to be reminded that a range of officially licensed Hammer costumes are available from Smiffy's and stocked in our official HammerShop.

The shop also stocks an exclusive clothing range from bespoke tailor Gresham Blake, including ties, cufflinks and Dracula cape.

From a limited edition run of 25 cloaks, only three remain. To pick up one of these very exclusive pieces, follow this link.
