More Hammer Classics To DVD This Autumn
Following on from our DVD/Blu-ray round-up last month, we can now confirm a slate of further Hammer titles due out later this year.
Icon Home Entertainment have revealled their plans to release a number of titles (many previously released by DD Home Entertainment) in the UK on September 12. The Dick Barton Trilogy features the film adaptations of the popular BBC thriller serial Dick Barton - Dick Barton: Special Agent, Dick Barton At Bay and Dick Barton Strikes Back. Also released in September are The Abominable Snowman, X The Unknown, Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter and The Quatermass Double Bill - packaging together the two 1950s Quatermass films starring Brian Donlevy (The Quatermass Xperiment and Quatermass II).
As an addendum to our last update, Vampire Circus was released in the UK by Spirit Entertainment on DVD back in April. Meanwhile The Vampire Lovers is scheduled for Blu-ray release in Australia via Shock Records at the end of August, the company having previously released Hammer titles in the territory.
