Horror house meets fashion house!
Horror house meets fashion house!
Top designer unveils collection inspired by Hammer Films
It’s London Fashion Week, a biannual trade show where designers unveil their collections to a professional audience of press and buyers, and a time when all sorts of strange characters come out to play. Some are scary, some are sexy. And, thanks to top fashion designer Johnnyblueeyes, some are both.
Johnny is a fan of Hammer Horror. That’s why he and his fellow House of Blueeyes designers themed their catwalk show on Tuesday 24th February Don’t be Afraid of the Darkness Within and displayed clothes and accessories inspired by that theme.
The House Of Blueeyes is a creative team of designers and artists collaborating on fashion collections, films and live performances. House Of Blueeyes founder and creator Johnnyblueeyes is an established stylist and performance artist. His fashion shows - and the parties that go with them - are some of the most eagerly awaited events in the fashion calendar. And this was no exception.
The House of Blueeyes show took place at Beach Blanket Babylon in the heart of Shoreditch, the London district only a stone’s throw from the City of London where fashion and art meet. Guests received a suitably Gothic invitation with ink dripping like blood from the House of Blueeyes logo and saw a collection oozing glamour and gore in equal measure. Quite a few of the guests got into the spirit of the occasion too, enthusiastically applauding the collection and even sporting a few gothic horror touches of their own.
