Video News

Good news for Hammer fans on both sides of the Atlantic. Absent from video stores since the 1980s, the

Hammer House of Horror anthology series is once again available to buy in the UK. The new collection, featuring three episodes per tape, is issued by Carlton Video. Volume One features The House That Bled To Death, The Silent Scream (starring Peter Cushing) and The Two Faces of Evil

. Volume Two features The Mark of Satan, Witching Time and Visitor From the Grave.

In the US,

Anchor Bay Entertainment continues its sterling work with a deluxe box set of tapes featuring all 13 episodes of the 1990 clips compilation series The World of Hammer

. The tapes are also available individually.

In 2000, Anchor Bay successfully negotiated for the US rights to issue films from the Canal+ archive. Audio narrations have already been recorded for the forthcoming DVD releases of

Scars of Dracula, Horror of Frankenstein, Lust For A Vampire, Dr Jekyll & Sister Hyde and Fear In The Night
