tho criticised at the time for attempting to insert 'dracula' into swinging 70s london this movie has aquired a cult status among hammer fans over the years - and indeed is a much better film than it was given credit for upon its release in 1972 . A couple of bits of interesting trivia bout AD72 is that it nearly featured a cameo by rod stewart and the faces and it was at one time going to be called 'dracula in chelsea'. For me the best performance of the movie comes from christopher neame as 'johnny alucard'...dracula's sinister and slightly demented disciple.
