Not much in the way of gore or scares but easily one of the more unnerving movies I've ever seen. The end is quite shocking and "Hammers love story" leaves you with that Psycho feeling they were going for at the time. This film has a huge creep factor that stays with you until well after the movie is over.

Easily the best out of The Mummy movies and maybe the best Hammer film. Not only is the Hammer "style" out in full force during this movie but but the acting, sets and, most importantly, the pace are 2nd to none. Christopher Lee coming out of the muddy waters is downright iconic. You can really see where some of todays directors get their “unstoppable foe” from as this mummy gets shot, stabbed and shot again… and still keeps coming. I’m hoping that Hammer brings this to US Blu Ray while Lee can still do any kind of extras he can. There are very few horror icons left and it would be a shame if we couldn’t get his word on things.
