certainly hammer's best film, a cinematic tour de force that still has the power to chill blood to the bone!

As with HORROR OF DRACULA, this is the absolute best of the lot; dunno how many times I've seen it, either.

THIS is the one! I don't recall how many times I've seen it, but it STILL makes the donuts!

Caught this on "The CBS Late Movie", mid-70's. Fun, definitely out of the ordinary for Hammer.

I was ten when I saw this, on a double bill with "RASPUTIN, THE MAD MONK"....scared me green then, but hasen't held up as well as the Frankenstein / Dracula films.

I first saw this while working at the Ohio Theatre in Lorain , summer of '73. An odd picture, with one of the nastiest-looking beasties to date, e.g. the thing in the hold. I wouldn't mind finding this on DVD.

This is the first film I remember seeing theatrically (Tower Drive-In, Lorain, Ohio, 1959) and one of my favorites. The Baron is an intriguing villian, almost effiminate but still menacing.

Quite exciting news this as my Laserdisc is now getting rather worn out having viewed it more than 300 times over oh so many years.
