You have certainly echoed my own thoughts there. I too have waited so long for a UK DVD release of this movie.

I totally agree. The best Dracula movie ever. Incidentally, I am just celebrating the launch of my new Kindle book, HAMMER HORROR REMEMBERED, which is my little homage to the studio. You can get it from Amazon Kindle Store at: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hammer-Horror-Remembered-ebook/dp/B00ERYLIWO/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1377480591&sr=1-1&keywords=hammer+horror+remembered

Are there any plans to release Curse of Frankenstein, Dracula/Horror of Dracula, and The Mummy on Blu-Ray in North America? I live in the US and would love to see the blu-rays of these films put out in the UK but I can't play Region B Blu-rays.

The name suggest the precence of dracula but he is not in this film. There goes my only real negative this true hammer fangs, bats and a scary nanny. The countess is my favorite charcter (apart for cushing).

With this movie, Hammer would revolutionise the vampire film franchise, bringing sex and blood to the fore. With Christopher Lee's enigmatic performance as the titular character (and arguably never repeated since) coupled with Cushings sublime performance, this film stands filrmly in its place as a truly glorious moment in celluloid history. For more thoughts on the movie, head on over to http://hammerhorrorpodcast.com/2012/10/31/dracula/ and here what we have to say in our podcast.
